My name is Madi Weist, and I am beyond excited to be stepping into the role of Executive of Professional Development for the 2025/26 school year! I am going into my third year in the Peter B. Gustavson School of Business commerce program. This year will be my third year in the CSS as I started as a Brand Ambassador, and last year was a Director for the Office Crawl team.

The Professional Development Portfolio is in charge of events that help connect students to their future careers. The portfolio hosts the Vancouver Office Crawl, Victoria Office Crawl, Finance Lunch, Career Fair, and various other workshops. The goal of these events is to build student and industry professional relationships, explore potential career options, and expand students’ skill sets.

The Professional Development Portfolio is working towards helping every BCom student develop their professional skills and reach their future career goals. I am beyond excited to be working alongside my team to create impactful events for all students
