My name is Hannah Iles, and I’m excited to be returning to the Commerce Students’ Society as the Executive of Events for the 2025/2026 academic year. I’m currently in my third year of the Bachelor of Commerce program and previously served as the CSS Director of External Outreach.

As part of the Events portfolio, I’m responsible for leading the planning and execution of the CSS’s flagship events: the Greater Victoria Business Banquet and the Gustavson School of Business Conference. These events are designed to give commerce students valuable opportunities to connect with industry professionals, gain practical insights, and build their professional networks.

This year, our portfolio is focused on strengthening community engagement and expanding outreach for our large-scale events. One of my personal goals is to create meaningful learning opportunities for our Directors and Co-Chairs- while ensuring we have fun along the way! I'm also proud to be launching a new initiative this year: Voices of Women in Business, in collaboration with the YWIB UVic chapter.

I’m incredibly grateful to be working alongside such a passionate and hardworking Events team. I can’t wait to see what we’ll accomplish together this year!
