A Message from the Directors

We would just like to take this time to introduce ourselves and to the 2009 CSS Business Banquet. We are Leta Young and Erin Stead, and we are in the midst of organizing the 16th Annual CSS Business Banquet. As you may be aware, we have been putting a lot of time into planning and organizing this event, and this year's banquet will be held at the Delta Ocean Pointe Resort. The event is designed to provide a networking opportunity between you and prospective business employers from around the country. This is a great opportunity to talk with potential employers about possible co-op jobs. The CSS has found there has been a high success rate in the past for co-op opportunities stemming from this event.

Tim Vasko from CMAEON will be our keynote speaker. We can’t emphasize enough the opportunity this night will give you to network and how much you will learn from Mr. Vasko about adapting to the new world of business.

There will also be a Silent Auction throughout the evening where you will have the opportunity to bid on some amazing items.

Keep checking in on the website regarding information on the banquet. We will be holding some networking workshops and providing you with many updates as the event approaches.

If you are interested in volunteering to help out at this year’s banquet, we are definitely looking for some help. Please email either of us at lgyoung@uvic.ca or estead@uvic.ca.

Thank you for your interest in the 2009 UVic Business Banquet!
